Hugo was the 2023 Canadian National Specialty Winner and 2018 US National Best of Opposite Sex Winner. He is Best In Show Winning and Multi Group Winning. Hugo is shown on a very limited basis and has been consistently awarded by breeder-judges at a National level in both Canada and the US, always owner-handled.

Hugo is a natural swimmer and earned his GSPCA NRD title at the 2018 Nationals. In 2024, he earned his TD title easily and on a fast-paced training program with his owner. He is a powerful tracker, with a fantastic nose and high intensity and stamina on the track. He is currently working towards his CKC TDX and UTD titles. Hugo has also been used successfully to recover a shot deer (1 hr old blood track, 1km long). He loves upland bird hunting and is very birdy.

Hugo stands 24.5″ and weighs 67 pounds. He loves kids. He is a proven sire and has put his beautiful movement, solid work ethic, love of water, intelligence, and sense of humour into his puppies! With limited breeding, his offspring so far have done well exhibiting in conformation, hunt tests, field trials, water tests, scent work, and rally.
