Riva’s Achievements

Riva was born on 11/27/2020 to Sire: GCHS DC Chindi’s Mischief Maker CD RA MH, and Dam: GCH RACH Silver Bullet Iz You Is My Baby UDX RM4 RAE4 NA NAJ OF OAP DS DJ BCAT CGC. Riva stands 21.5” tall and weighs 51 pounds.

Riva was awarded her GSPCA Versatility Certificate (VC) in 2023 and followed that in 2025 with her GSPCA Versatility Certificate Advanced (VCA) in 2025. The GSPCA is the AKC Parent Club of the German Shorthaired Pointer. The VCA award is uncommon and requires achievement in four different AKC disciplines with at least one point earned in Field Trials or Hunt Test. Riva’s awards were based on her achievements in Conformation, Field, Agility and Obedience/Rally.

Riva trained for field trials with Jesse Chapman of SmokeRise Kennels.  Jesse said that Riva had the best understanding of the Field Trial game at a young age of any dog he’s ever trained. Jesse has retired from field trialing and training, so we plan to continue Riva’s hunt training with a new trainer in Fall 2025. Riva’s achievements in hunt and field include:

·       Earning a NAVHDA Natural Ability prize 1 at 10 months of age with Denise handling her,

·       Earning the maximum number of open derby points in her first field trial season,

·       Earning an Open Limited Gun Dog major “broke stake” in her second field trial season,

·       Earning a total of 7 field trial placements with 5 Field Championship points.

Riva had the following achievements in AKC Rally and AKC Obedience:

·       Earning her AKC Novice Obedience (CD) title in Jul, 2023,

·       Earning her AKC Rally Championship (RACH) in Nov, 2024,

·      Being ranked the number two GSP in AKC Rally in 2024 by the GSPCA,

·       Being invited to the 2025 AKC Rally National Championship in the Championship class.

Riva’s achievements in AKC Conformation include:

·       Completing her Championship in Jan, 2023,

·       Completing her Grand Championship in Apr, 2024,

·       Winning Best of Breed multiple times.

Riva’s other accomplishments include:

·       Earning a total of 14 new titles in 2024,

·       Earning her Agility Course Test, Novice Agility (NA), Novice Agility Jumpers (NAJ), and Open Fast Agility titles in 2024 and 2025.

Riva is extremely bright and has a sweet and loving temperament. She loves to work, has a strong desire to please, and is keen to learn new dog sports. Her journey is not just about titles and ribbons; it is also about the bond she forms with her handlers and the joy she brings to those around her.
